4-Week In-Studio Training | Maximum 4 Students
Designed for aspiring makeup artists with basic Level 2 makeup knowledge or equivalent, this intensive academy focuses on developing advanced creative and theatrical skills through hands-on practical training.
This is not a complete beginner's makeup course. Students should already understand essential makeup application, skincare preparation and basic hair styling, allowing us to maximise practical learning throughout the four weeks.
Week 1 – Period Makeup, Hair, Wigs & Postiche
Develop an understanding of historical and period makeup styles while learning how to work with wigs, hair pieces and facial postiche to transform a character.
Week 2 – Prosthetic Creation & Character Pieces
Learn to sculpt, mould and create your own prosthetic pieces before casting, finishing and preparing them for professional application.
Week 3 – Bald Caps, Face & Body Painting
Master bald cap application, colour theory, face and body painting techniques, texture creation and character development to bring imaginative designs to life.
Week 4 – Character Design & Portfolio Development
Bring together everything you've learnt to design and create four complete professional character looks, combining prosthetics, wigs, hair, makeup and body painting. Each look will be professionally photographed to help you build a high-quality portfolio.
